The Oshodi transport interchange is a world-class bus terminal in Oshodi, Lagos State, Nigeria. It is a multi three-story facility featuring three separate terminals linked by the skywalk bridge. It is one of the newest infrastructural development in Lagos to boost the transportation sector.
The Oshodi transport interchange is not just a bus terminal. It has become the newest tourist destination in Lagos.
When every part of the facility opens fully, it will become a tourist hub. It will feature recreational and entertainment centres. It will have its museum, art gallery, fast foods, lounge, mall, hotel and tech hubs.
The purpose of the Oshodi Transport interchange is to create a central business district for road transportation in Lagos. It will also put Lagos at the forefront of transportation development in Africa. The facility is highly secure. It has 24-hour security personnel and CCTV cameras installed in strategic areas of the terminal.
Who Built Oshodi Bus Interchange?
The construction of the Oshodi Bus terminal was done by an indigenous company known as Planet projects limited. Planet Projects Limited is a Nigerian based business with headquarters in Lagos. The company is under the leadership of Mr Biodun Otunola. Mr Biodun is the managing Director of Planet Projects.
Planet Project Limited is one of the leading construction and transport solutions company in Nigeria. The company is the brain behind the Oshodi Transport Interchange. Project planets have also developed other world-class transport projects around the country. The company designed, developed and constructed the Oshodi bus terminals and the transport interchange.
Where is Oshodi Bus Terminal located?
The Oshodi bus terminal is in the centre of Lagos, in Oshodi. It is in between the Lagos Apapa expressway on one side and the Agege Motor road on the other side.

The terminals
It has three different terminals which are terminal 1, terminal 2 and terminal 3. The interchange is the first of its kind in Nigeria. It is a multi-level bus park with three floors. It also features a skywalk, bus park, taxi park and other attractions. The three terminals can conveniently accommodate over 820 Mass transit buses. This makes it the biggest bus terminal in West Africa.
Each terminal consists of ticketing booths, reception, waiting areas, restrooms, loading bay etc. It also has a control tower that monitors every activity at the bus terminal.
The three-terminal was constructed on over 48,285 square metres of land. The terminals also have a parking lot that can take over 600 vehicles.
Terminal one is for interstate transportation. Terminal one covers twenty-one different routes. The destinations include all the south-west states, south-east states, northern states and the federal capital territory Abuja.
The terminal started operations in May 2019.
Terminal One
The terminal one is for interstate transport. It loads the following location Abia, Abeokuta, Kuto, Abuja, Akure, Benue / Oturupo, Ede/Osogbo, Ekiti/Ijoro, Enugu/Abakaliki, Ibadan/Molete/Challenge/Oyo, Ijebu Ode/Odogbolu, Ikare/Owo/Ipetu/Ikeji, Ilaro, Ilesha/Ife/Ile Ife, Ilorin/Ogbomoso, Imo/Owerri, Offa/Ajase Oro, Okitipupa/Igbokoda, Onitsha, Port Harcourt, Saki/Okaka, Sango/Ifo, Shagamu, Umuahia.
Terminal Two
Terminal two is for intercity routes. Ikeja, Agege, Iyana Ipaja, egbeda, Abule Egba etc
Terminal Three
Mile 2/Festac, Airport road, Bariga/New Garage, Tincan, Orile, Apapa/Wharf, ejigbo, Ajegunle/Boundary, Ojodu/Berger, Gbagada/Anthony, Eko Ijumota, Iyana Isolo/Jakande Gate/ Itire, Ojota/Ketu/Mile 12, Adeniji, Eko Hotel, Ilupeju, Lwekki /Jakande/Ajah, Ijora/Costain, CMS/Obalende, Sabo/Ikorodu
The skywalk
The skywalk is the longest free-standing bridge in Nigeria. It is one of the facilities meant to ease movement between the three terminals. The skywalk links the three terminals together. The skywalk bridge that links terminal one to terminal two is about 53.2 metres in length while the one linking terminal two and three is about 155 metres in length. To access the terminal, you will need to use the escalators and the lifts.
The Buses
All the buses used in this facility meets international standards. The buses are fully air-conditioned with wifi and charging ports for passengers.

In addition to the bus park, it also has a Taxi park for the lagos Taxi service.
