The covid 19 vaccine is now available in Nigeria. To get vaccinated, you need to register. Registration has started in many states of the country. Lagos state is one of the pioneer states in immunization against the covid virus. However, registration is required to get the shot.

Registering for the Covid 19 vaccine has been made easy by the Lagos Government of Nigeria. The Federal Government of Nigeria got its first set of vaccines in early March 2021.

To get vaccinated in Lagos, you must undergo an online registration process. There are two medium to register, the first channel is through the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA). The other medium is through the Vaccination website created by the state.

Step By Step Procedure to Register for the Covid 19 Vaccine in Lagos

• Ensure that you fall into the category of people eligible to get vaccinated at the point.
• visit www.nphcdaict.com.ng or www.vaccination.gov.ng
• Fill the form online
• Click self-registration
• You will be issued a vaccination I.D, a text and an email confirmation.
• Then proceed to any of the approved centres that you selected during the registration.
• You will be issued a Green Covid vaccination card.
• Lastly, you will be re-scheduled for the second dose in a month time.

Only those that meet the requirement for each phase will be able to register for the vaccination.

The Four Phases for Covid 19 Vaccination in Nigeria

Phase 1 of Covid 19 Vaccination in Lagos

The Phase 1 is for all healthcare workers, people in the frontline, Covid 19 Response team, medical personnel, lawmakers, judiciary, military personnel, hospital staff, ports of entry staff (Airport, seaports, borders), hotel staff, teachers, lecturers, petrol station workers etc.

Phase 2

The Phase two is targeted at the elderly in society. Phase two of the covid 19 vaccination is for people aged 50 and above. Phase two is also targeted at those with prevailing health conditions and also comorbidities who are between 18 and 49. These may include people with other pending health conditions like diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure, weak immune system etc

Phase 3

Phase three is targeted at people in local Government areas that are worst hit by Covid 19 virus. It is also for people that are eligible for phase 1 and phase 2 that missed their vaccination.

Phase 4

Phase four will be the final phase and it will be available to everyone
